Hosts
Darren
Darren is one of those irritating people who is annoyingly competent at almost everything he decides to do. If there's a problem to solve, a shelf to build, a project to organise or a way to make something better, he'll probably have already started fixing it before anyone else has finished complaining about it.
He's the reason No Good Options exists at all. Without Darren's drive to actually get things done, this podcast would still be another one of my ideas that never made it past a conversation. He keeps the discussions grounded, drags my more ridiculous tangents back into reality and has an impressive ability to spot the obvious solution that everyone else has missed. Admittedly, he's also not above "borrowing" a good idea if someone else happened to think of it first.
Outside the podcast, he's a loving husband and father, a dangerously capable DIY enthusiast and somehow still finds room to buy more board games than any human could reasonably play. He cares far more than he lets on, especially about the people he calls friends. He's also a bit of a menace, refuses to sing often enough and still doesn't seem to appreciate the importance of securing our inevitable sponsorship deal.

Sam
Sam is a clever guy. That will become apparent almost immediately when you listen to the podcast. He’s essentially a massive brain crammed into the malnourished body of a nerd.
In all the years I’ve known him, Sam has consistently subjected me and our friends to strange questions, impossible choices and conversations that no sensible person would ever start. It was one of these discussions that sparked the idea for No Good Options. The conversation was simply too good not to pollute other people’s minds with.
Sam brings a strange mix of intelligence, curiosity and boy-like wonder to the podcast, typically breaking down the many layers of a scenario before inevitably bursting into song or attempting to secure us a sponsorship deal.
